So my boyfriend, Chris, is obsessed with horror movies. He loves the classics, the new gore-galore stuff, American, foreign, low budget, big budget, and everything in between. Every week he spends 30% of his paycheck for new additions.
His favorite go to place for these movies is Newbury Comics. You can find some rare gems there sometimes...
Of course he's not the only nerd that knows this.
One day the treasure hunt went out of hand. This was the day Chris would find one of the rarest horror films in the world. It's also the day he met his match.
The film: London After Midnight. This silent horror film's last known copy was destroyed in a fire in 1967.
And Christopher's nemesis was willing to fight to the death. They were so focused on winning that they forgot about the prize itself...
... And there stood the manager holding up the movie. "Get Out! You guys are banned for life!"
Chris and his foe ended up shirtless, slimy, wolf-breathy and most importantly movie-less on the side of the road. Some sort of lesson was learn today, I guess.
